Tech Expo

The Vidal M. Treviño School of Communications and Fine Arts (VMT) is celebrating a major achievement after high school artist Emily Rodriguez earned 1st place in the High School Division of the 20th Annual Laredo Independent School District (LISD) Student Technology Expo Drawing Contest.

Emily’s winning artwork stood out among submissions from across the district, demonstrating exceptional artistic vision, technique, and creative innovation. The annual expo highlights the intersection of digital technology and visual arts, encouraging students to push creative boundaries.

Guidance for Emily's award-winning submission was provided by VMT visual arts instructor Mrs. Brooke Berrios, who praised her student's dedication and artistic growth throughout the process.

"Emily approaches every piece with incredible passion and a willingness to explore new artistic boundaries," said Mrs. Brooke Berrios. "Watching her refine her technical skills and bring such bold imagination to life has been an absolute privilege. This first-place recognition is a testament to her hard work, and I couldn't be prouder of everything she has accomplished."

The entire VMT family extends its warmest congratulations to Emily on this remarkable milestone as she continues to create, inspire, and break barriers in the visual arts.
