The Vidal M. Treviño School of Communications and Fine Arts (VMT) swapped the stage and classroom for the bowling lanes this past week as campus leadership and faculty represented the school at the 15th Annual Laredo ISD Bowl 4 Kids Tournament at Jett Bowl.
The annual tournament brings together educators, campus leaders, district staff, and community sponsors from across Laredo for a friendly competition with a meaningful mission. Organized by the district, all proceeds generated from the event directly support purchasing winter coats and essential outerwear for LISD students in need as the cooler months approach.
Dressed in team gear and bursting with Gladiator pride, the VMT contingent was led by Interim Director Ms. Rebecca Gonzalez, alongside dedicated teachers and staff members who showcased their school spirit while taking on teams from neighboring campuses and district departments.
"Events like Bowl 4 Kids highlight the heart of our district and our shared commitment to every child," said Interim Director Ms. Rebecca Gonzalez. "Our teachers and staff give so much of themselves inside the classroom every single day, so seeing them step out into the community to support our students in such a fun, meaningful way is truly inspiring."
In addition to raising vital funds for district families, the tournament provided a great opportunity for staff camaraderie and community connection across LISD campuses.
With another successful Bowl 4 Kids event in the books, VMT demonstrated that whether they are guiding students toward creative excellence or hitting the lanes for a community cause, Gladiators always show up to make a positive impact.
