Vidal M. Treviño School of Communication and Fine Arts hosted a successful and memorable VMT Got Talent event, showcasing the incredible abilities of student performers across a variety of acts. The evening highlighted the creativity, confidence, and dedication of VMT students, with each performance bringing something unique to the stage.
Top honors were awarded to several standout performers. Emily Cortez earned 2nd Runner-Up for her performance of “Made in Japan” by Buck Owens. Victor Enamorado was named 1st Runner-Up after impressing the audience with an original harp solo. Max Torres took home Best in Show for his rendition of “I’ve Got the World on a String” by Frank Sinatra and also earned the Fan Favorite Award, voted on by VMT students.
Selecting winners proved to be a challenge, as each performer brought talent and originality to the stage. The event not only celebrated student creativity, but also supported a meaningful cause, with funds raised going toward scholarships for VMT seniors.
The success of the event was made possible through the efforts of the Counseling Department, the Technical Theater Department for production and lighting, and the support of staff and judges. The evening was also captured by VMT Photo students, preserving the excitement and energy of a truly special event for the school community.
