On February 12, Ms. Leyendecker’s Dance students lit up the VMT Auditorium with their annual recital, “Live, Love, Dance.” The recital featured a dynamic lineup of performances ranging from Hip Hop and Jazz to Lyrical and Contemporary, highlighting both versatility and artistry.
Dancers captivated the audience with heartfelt routines set to love-themed favorites such as “Hopelessly Devoted to You” by Olivia Newton-John, “Always a Woman” by Billy Joel, and “We Found Love” by Rihanna. Each performance reflected not only technical skill, but also emotion and stage presence that kept the audience engaged from start to finish.
Beyond the celebration of music and movement, these seasonal recitals serve an important purpose. They highlight students’ technical growth while providing valuable stage experience that builds confidence and strengthens performance skills. The progress demonstrated by each dancer is a testament to their commitment, discipline, and passion for the art of dance.
The evening was truly a collaborative success. Special thanks go to Mr. Wolfe’s Technical Theater students for creating stunning lighting and fog effects that enhanced each performance, and to Mrs. Valdez’s Commercial Photography students for capturing every unforgettable moment.
VMT is incredibly proud of the dedication and hard work shown by all students involved in making “Live, Love, Dance” a memorable and meaningful event.
