Laredo Independent School District is hosting the 6th Annual Scholars Golf Tournament on Saturday, February 7, at the Casa Blanca Golf Course. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit scholarships for deserving graduating seniors from LISD.
The golf tournament is a three-man scramble format. The entry fee is $150 per golfer and includes a fun filled day with a round of golf, golf cart, breakfast, lunch, and a goodie bag.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams. A skills contest will be held for the longest drive and Mulligans will be available for all golfers.
The golf tournament begins with registration and breakfast at 7:00 a.m., and a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m., and a lunch/awards ceremony will be held immediately after the tournament.
Title sponsors for this year’s tournament are Laredo Federal Credit Union and Southern Sanitation. Additional sponsors include Aflac, Tijerina Financial Consultants, Killam Development, Laredo College, Kazen Meurer and Perez Law, Falcon Bank, Zertuche Construction, Cavazos Architects, and Hellas Construction.
