The Vidal M. Treviño School of Communications and Fine Arts (VMT) proudly announces that senior Madelyn Marchan has been named the High School Winner in the prestigious 19th Annual Student Technology Expo Drawing Contest for the 2025–2026 school year.

Madelyn's winning design was selected as the top entry in the high school division, showcasing her exceptional creativity and artistic talent. As a winner, her logo will be prominently displayed throughout the Laredo ISD Student Technology Expo.

This annual contest merges art and technology, challenging students across the district to create a logo that visually represents the innovation celebrated at the Expo. Madelyn, a dedicated VMT Art student, rose to the top with a piece that impressed the judges.

Madelyn's Art teacher, Mrs. Clarissa Visarra, spoke highly of her student’s success and dedication.

"Madelyn is an incredibly talented and committed artist. Her win in the Student Technology Expo Drawing Contest is a wonderful testament to her hard work and innovative spirit," said Mrs. Visarra. "It is truly inspiring to see a VMT student utilize their skills to bridge the worlds of fine art and technology.
