M. B. Lamar Middle School recently welcomed students from its feeder elementary schools for a special campus preview, giving future Lions a glimpse into the wide range of opportunities available to them. Students from M. S. Ryan Elementary School, Alma A. Pierce Elementary School, Heights Elementary School, K. F. Tarver Elementary School, and C. L. Milton Elementary School visited Lamar as part of an Elementary Expo designed to highlight elective courses and afterschool programs.

During the event, visiting students explored a variety of programs, including Art, Boys and Girls Athletics, Orchestra, UIL, Choir, and Band. Each area provided an inside look at what students can expect as they transition into middle school, allowing them to experience the creativity, teamwork, and skill-building that define Lamar’s offerings.

In addition to the program showcases, guests were treated to spirited performances by the Lamar Cheer Team and Prancers. The performances highlighted the talent, dedication, and school pride that are central to the Lamar community, leaving a lasting impression on visiting students.

The event was made possible through the efforts of Lamar’s students, teachers, sponsors, and staff, all of whom worked together to create a welcoming and engaging experience. Their collaboration ensured that visitors not only learned about the campus programs but also felt the strong sense of community that defines Lamar Middle School.

With registration now open for the 2026–2027 school year, school leaders encourage incoming students to take the next step and become part of the Lamar family. The Elementary Expo served as a powerful introduction to the opportunities that await, inspiring future students to get involved, explore their interests, and take pride in becoming Lamar Lions. 🦁💛
