In an effort to enhance the campus environment and celebrate Earth Day, students recently took part in a campus-wide beautification project that is leaving a lasting impression. Through a combination of creative expression and hands-on service, both 6th grade students and Student Council members worked together to bring new life and color to the school grounds.
As part of their science classes, 6th grade students transformed ordinary rocks into vibrant works of art. The activity allowed students to connect environmental awareness with creativity, as they explored the importance of caring for the Earth and their surroundings. Each student designed and painted their own rock, incorporating bright colors, inspirational messages, and school pride. These unique creations are now displayed throughout the campus, adding personality and positivity to shared spaces.
In addition to the rock painting project, Student Council members took the lead in planting greenery around the campus as part of the beautification effort. With teamwork and dedication, they carefully planted flowers and plants in key areas, helping create a more welcoming and vibrant environment for students, staff, and visitors. Their work not only enhanced the appearance of the school but also demonstrated leadership and a commitment to service.
Together, these projects gave students the opportunity to make a tangible impact while learning the value of responsibility, collaboration, and environmental stewardship. Teachers and sponsors guided students throughout the process, encouraging them to take pride in their contributions and recognize how even small efforts can lead to meaningful change.
Principal M. Valdez praised the initiative and the students behind it, stating, “It’s inspiring to see our students take ownership of their campus in such a creative and positive way. Projects like this not only beautify our school, but also build pride, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility that will stay with our students beyond the classroom.”
Today, the campus stands brighter and more inviting thanks to the combined efforts of the 6th grade science classes and Student Council. The painted rocks and newly planted greenery serve as lasting reminders of what students can accomplish when they come together with a shared purpose.
School leaders hope this project will continue to inspire future beautification efforts and encourage all students to take an active role in caring for their campus. With initiatives like these, the school community continues to grow stronger, more connected, and full of pride. 🌱🎨🌼
