Once again, the library had another successful family reading night. Students had lots of fun participating in an array of reading and instructional activities created by their teachers. Lots of fun, prizes, and food surrounded the gymnasium on Thursday, Oct. 17th. The mariachi (Los Tigrillos Del Sur) played songs as students participated in reading activities. Shout out to all the departments who set up a booth during this great event.
Congratulations 🎉 to the CATE department for getting the winner of the best dressed booth this year: These teachers made their department proud as they outdid themselves in dressing up the part! Mrs. Macias and Mrs. Palacios dressed up as Circus Popcorn sellers. Ms. Ana Garcia dressed up as a funny circus clown. Ms. Abigail Aguilar spent over 2 hours inside an inflatable UPSIDEDOWN clown costume and Mr. Hernandez was their ringmaster. Their costumes were so adorable and creative and attracted everyone to go by and take pictures with them. We loved all your characters CATE department! You did an amazing job!!
Congratulations 🎉to the 8th grade Social Studies department who outdid themselves with the best decorated and creative booth. Their mystic fortune teller theme was extraordinary and attracted everyone to play their innovative and interactive Social Studies activities, which was accompanied by their clear touch screen complementing their beautiful purple and gold colors as well. These ladies compiled a variety of tools decorating it so beautiful and elegant. Ms. Teniente, Ms. Ramirez, and Ms. Catalani dressed up as fortune tellers, which made their booth stand out above the rest. Congratulations ladies, as always, you went way above and beyond!
Library staff will be contacting you soon to award you.
Thank you all for an amazing job!
