Pee Wee

The LISD Dr. Marcus Nelson Conference Center was filled with smiling faces as LISDโ€™s special needs students participated in the Special Education Departmentโ€™s Pee Wee Young Athletes Competition Field Day. 

The districtโ€™s special education students who are in adaptive physical education classes participated in adaptive physical activity events including soccer, bowling, beanbag toss, giant ball push, obstacle course, and a variety of other activities. 

With the assistance of LISD high school student โ€“athletes, the youngsters participated in each event and enjoyed their day. 

Prior to the competition, the students marched in a Parade of Athletes.

LISDโ€™s Special Education teachers, teacher aides, Adapted Physical Education coaches, under the direction of Special Education Director Raul Gomez, made this event possible and accessible for the students.
