D.D. Hachar Elementary was buzzing with energy and Cougar pride as students and staff participated in a triple celebration honoring National Library Week, Autism Awareness Week, and the Week of the Young Child.
📖 National Library Week brought stories to life on campus as students participated in themed dress-up days and literacy-focused fun. From pajama day to storybook character costumes, Cougar students showed off their creativity and passion for reading. The week reminded us all that books have the power to inspire, imagine, and connect us.
🧩 Autism Awareness Week gave our school community a chance to shine a light on the importance of understanding, compassion, and inclusion. Students learned about acceptance through classroom discussions and visual displays, wearing blue proudly to show their support for those with autism.
🎉 Our youngest Cougars enjoyed a magical experience during the Week of the Young Child, which featured a colorful puppet show and an exciting movie day. These events helped highlight the joy and importance of early childhood education through play, storytelling, and shared experiences.
It was a heartwarming and joyful week for our Cougars! Thank you to our teachers, students, and families for making these celebrations meaningful and memorable.
We can’t wait to keep the Cougar spirit going strong with more events ahead!
